10:00am Fosterfields Living Historical Museum General Joseph Warren Revere, grandson of Paul Revere, bought the property in the mid-1800s and built the impressive Gothic Revival home, The Willows. Charles Foster purchased the farm in 1881, changing its name to Fosterfields, and it was here that Caroline Foster lived 98 of her 102 years. As she wished, Fosterfields offers an incomparable opportunity to experience our agricultural heritage, providing through its living history programs and tours a fascinating look at life in the late Victorian era.
12:00pm Box lunch (included) at Fosterfields Living Historical Museum *** Please make your lunch selection upon booking the tour*** A choice of: Box Lunch #1: Oven roasted Turkey Breast, Philadelphia Cream cheese, Cranberry Chutney and field greens served on a multi-grain roll, Box Lunch #2: Black Forest Ham, Imported Swiss Cheese, honey mustard, leaf lettuce and field greens served on a freshly-baked country roll or Box Lunch #3: Roasted Eggplant, Zucchini and Red Pepper, caramelized onions, balsamic vinaigrette and parmesan cheese in an herbed tortilla wrap. Each sandwich selection comes with a side salad, seasonal fruit, homemade cookie and bottled water.
2:00pm Cooper Grist Mill Visitors to Cooper Mill can watch the massive water wheel power shafts and gears that turn 2,000-pound mill stones as the master miller - in period costume - explains the history of the mill and the vibrant community once called Milltown.
