Still designated as working waterfront, local lobster fisherman unload their catch on the dock all summer long. It does not get any fresher than that. Come see the beautiful fall sunsets over the bay and experience one of the best views on the seacoast. Menu to consist of a choice of 1) 1 lb. Weathervane Seafood Restaurant, Portland, ME. Weathervane Restaurant is a seafood chain in New England. It was founded in Kittery, Maine, in 1969 by Rea and Bea Gagner. The chain has since expanded to fifteen location, and employs in excess of a thousand people. Attractions:               

Naugatuck Railroad and Museum - Located in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut, you’ll depart from the 1881 station for an entertaining mix of river valley scenery and rich transportation history. The exciting trip runs through the unspoiled Mattatuck Forest, clings to rock cliffs, hugs the banks of the Naugatuck River, crosses the face of the dam high above the spillway with the river valley below.

 

 

Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad - enjoy a nostalgic scenic excursion along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, which is always within view as you travel between Meredith and Lakeport. The railroad line was built in 1849 before any development occurred on the then remote lake. Travel through the front yards of many resort homes. Once part of the Boston & Maine Railroad that brought tourists to the lake for summer vacations from the late 1890’s to the 1950’s. Weirs Beach was a busy summer resort with many fine "Grand Style Hotels” lining the shore of the lake.

 

 

M/S Mount Washington Lunch Cruise - board the M/S Mount Washington for a wonderful lunch cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee, a Native American term meaning Beautiful Water in a High Place - surrounded by three mountain ranges and is dotted with 365 islands. This 72-square-mile lake is New Hampshire’s largest. Relax and enjoy a hot and cold lunch buffet as you cruise.

Nubble Light – The Nubble Light is 41 feet tall, and is located at Cape Neddick, near the entrance of the York River. It is reputedly Maine's most photographed Lighthouse.

 

 

Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum - take a trip back in time as you enjoy magnificent views of Portland's waterfront aboard the unique railroad that linked rural Maine to the rest of the world. The museum was founded in 1993 and contains a collection of rolling stock and artifacts from the narrow gauge railroads that ran in the state of Maine.

 

 

Shipyard Brewery Company - stop in for a tour and tasting. Come in and browse their wide selection of beer paraphenalia, watch the brewery video, visit the bottling line, and taste the ales and soda!

 

 

Lighthouse Lover's Cruise - enjoy this narrated 90 minute scenic cruise through the busy harbor and innermost islands to see lighthouses, forts, lobster boats, seals, and seabirds. Four lighthouses can be seen up close with as many as seven in view during the cruise, including a closeup view of Maine’s oldest and most photographed lighthouse, Portland Head Light! So come aboard, take in the salt air, and spectacular sights, while enjoying the best narrated cruise around!

 

 

Yankee Candle Flagship Store - shopping in the huge 90,000 square foot store is a delightful adventure, featuring 400,000 candles in nearly 200 fragrances. It is always evening in the Bavarian Christmas Village, their alpine holiday town, and always snowing in their Black Forest. Travel through the Waterfall Courtyard and Nutcracker Castle to visit with Santa in his Enchanted Toy Works! The Candle Mountain Boys, the animatronic band, will entertain you in the Kringle Market, near Mrs. Claus' Bakery & Cafe.
