10:00am - 11:45am    Tour of Locust Grove

Tour the Italianate villa at Locust Grove, the estate home of artist and inventor Samuel F. B. Morse. The unique combination of landscaped lawns, sweeping vistas, elegant collections, and Italianate architecture makes it one of the most handsome Hudson River estates.

12:00pm - 1:30pm      Lunch (included) at Shadows on the Hudson in Poughkeepsie, NY

Shadows on the Hudson is a brand new waterfront restaurant located in Poughkeepsie, NY.   The building is perched on a cliff forty feet above the Hudson River and just fifty feet from its eastern bank. This prime location affords a one-of-a-kind, truly grand views of the Mid-Hudson bridge to the north and miles of open river to the south. 

Lunch will consist of: Shadows Salad, a choice of 1) SPINACH LASAGNA (Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Lasagna with Fire-Roasted Tomato Sauce), 2) CHICKEN MARSALA (Boneless Breast of Chicken Sautéed with Fresh Mushroom Slices,
Finished with Marsala Wine Served with Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables) or 3) FILET OF SOLE FRANCAISE (Sole, Egg Battered then Sautéed in a Lemon Butter and
White Wine Sauce Served with Rice and Seasonal Vegetables), Bananas Foster and coffee, decaf, tea or soft drinks.

1:45pm - 3:15pm        Walkway Over the Hudson

Experience the "Walkway over the Hudson River," the longest pedestrian-only walking bridge in the world! It opened in October of 2009, and is 1-1/4 miles long with spectacular views of the river and the Catskill Mountains. You may choose to walk the entire walkway, or only a portion of it.
